The end of 2018 didn’t bring us many surprises in the cryptocurrency world. Investors who know how to increase their capital on cryptographic currencies have probably had their favourites for over three months now, predicting which one will be the top crypto currency this year. But, it’s worth presenting some of the most promising coins, which are worth taking a closer look at, to all others. They have been presented below.
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH). It’s a currency that was created after the main Bitcoin chain broke. It uses exactly the same algorithm as the original Bitcoin and, like it, Bitcoin Cash is based on a blockchain system. However, it differs from the original in terms of the size of the blocks – which is aimed at minimizing transaction costs and speeding up the flow of funds. It’s worth mentioning this cryptocurrency as a more practical version of the old Bitcoin. More and more online shops accept BCH as a means of payment, so it may turn out that it will at some point completely dominate its predecessor.
- Ripple (XRP) Based on a real-time settlement system bearing the same name, cryptocurrency called Ripple is mainly used by banks and large financial institutions. It can be used to make very flexible, instant transactions with a huge number of tokens. This cryptocurrency is used by over 100 banks. Out of all known cryptocurrency transactions, trading Ripple probably most resembles trading in the forex market. Therefore, it’s mainly of interest to traders connected with the global monetary market. Interestingly, since recently in Poland you can invest in this cryptocurrency using the so-called Ripple Voucher.
- TRON (TRX) Mentioned on our blog on numerous occasions so far, Tron is quite new to the cryptocurrency world. Created by a talented Chinese programmer, it aims to innovate the entertainment system both in the Middle Kingdom and in Europe. Unlike most cryptocurrencies, Tron isn’t based on sharing the memory of the computer processor, but that of a hard drive. The aim is to collect data such as entertainment programs, artworks, but also happenings and manifestos in a cloud. After its launch on the market, Tron immediately gained great interest of the community of traders and speculators.
- Cardana (ADA) One of the few cryptocurrencies which is the result of work of a team of researchers. Cardano, based on a blockchain system, aims to create a multi-level platform for smart contacts. This project stands out not only for the commitment involved – it took over two years and required the creation of a separate programming language – but also for its grand scale. ADA is being closely observed not only by the academic community, but also by many traders willing to invest their capital into the development of this particular cryptocurrency.
- Zcash (ZEC). Based on the Ethereum’s blockchain system, Zcash has been designed to create a secure and completely anonymous payment network. Compared to most similar projects, Zcash is impressive due to an advanced network of securities and the desire for anonymity not only of a user, but also of a transaction itself. Therefore, neither the amount of the funds transferred, nor the time of use of the network are to be traceable. Zcash is intended to replace Bitcoin Cash as a popular cryptocurrency intended for retail payments.
Here are five promising cryptocurrencies of the year 2018. The vast majority of the them are very recent coins created within the last two years. The exception is Ripple, which has recently been strengthening its position as a solution for financial institutions. What will the situation at the cryptocurrency market in 2019 look like?
