The list of social media is getting longer and longer every single day. Which new and less known social media are noteworthy and most promising from a trader’s perspective?

  1. Tumblr. Tumblr is predominantly a place for young people. Women prevail, but it would be a mistake to think that the portal is filled with bloggers from the beauty industry – major topics are photography, social issues or fanart. Tumblr therefore is a good place to advertise products or services for young, active women interested in the world.
  2. Snapchat. Snapchat is an application that attracts two very different groups of people. The first are children and teenagers – the Snapchat community is dominated by very young people. The second one are people who publish erotic or even pornographic images for money, who are tempted by a barrier of security features that make it difficult to share the images outside the application, and a system of content deletion after a very short time.
  3. Foursquare. Foursquare is an application for searching interesting places in the area. It’s therefore a must for owners of local eateries or service outlets, as well as hotels and motels. The application features a rating system and allows you to share discount codes.
  4. LinkedIn. It’s the largest and the most extensive portal related to business and work. Having a profile on LinkedIn significantly helps you conduct B2B transactions, develop a network of professional contacts and find employees. Regardless of your profession and area of activity, it’s worth having an extensive, professional LinkedIn profile.
  5. Youtube. This most popular portal with amateur videos can hardly be referred to as niche medium, but, only for some time now, Youtube has decided to expand its offer for advertisers. At the moment, it looks impressive – businesses from almost every sector can invest in advertising that is displayed before or during a video or on the side of the page. In addition, Youtube provides great opportunities to establish cooperation with influencers.
  6. Google+. Associated mainly with a portal where everyone used to have an account – at one point it was automatically created together with an address on Gmail or Youtube account – and which nobody used, Google+ in April this year ceased to provide services to individual customers. However, it still offers company accounts and these should be of interest to investors, especially since links related to Google+ still have priority when it comes to positioning in the Google search engine.

Here are six less known or less obvious social media channels worth investing in. It all really depends on which user group you want to reach and the goal you have set yourself. Skilful advertising is an investing secret of the best traders.
