It’s hard to imagine a world without Facebook. It is said that if you are not on it, you do not exist! This applies in particular to companies – it is on this portal that they have the best chance of finding potential customers. Check out how to use Facebook for Business!
Facebook for Business – basic information
Facebook for Business (now Meta for Business) is a whole range of tools and methods that allow companies to use the advertising potential of Facebook, but not only. Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Quest are also under its umbrella. How can you reach customers through the most popular social network in the world? It offers several different options for this.
A business page is a profile of your business on Facebook. It looks similar to the profile of a “regular” user, but offers slightly different possibilities. It allows you to communicate with your customers and include all the most important information about your company (location, opening hours, price list or menu, etc.). It also provides a platform to familiarize users with what you offer and stand for.
Facebook Ads is a way to pay for promotion on the portal. It is a very intuitive tool that allows you to achieve various goals – including, for example, increasing visibility, engagement, traffic or sales. Facebook ads are quite cheap, and with the right settings, they are very effective.
Video Ads is a separate category of video ads placed in different places on the portal. Multiple options provide you with the opportunity to reach your target audience.
However, these are just the basics of Facebook for Business. There are plenty of ways to use the potential of this portal, which is visited by billions of people every day!

Facebook for business – how to set up?
How do I create a Facebook account for a business? It is very simple and requires only a few steps. To make this possible, however, you need your personal profile. If you don’t have one, be sure to start with this (just go to the main Facebook page and press the “Create a new account” button). It is important to provide your real data, as a fictitious account can be banned and thus deprive you of access to the company account as well. People who already have a private profile should log in to it. Then follow the steps below. From your private profile, go to the Facebook menu (in the upper right corner) and select the “Page” option from the “Create” panel. This will redirect you to the page creation form.
Select a category (ex: business type, industry), enter the name of the Page and a short description of the Page that will appear in the “About” section. Then proceed further by clicking on “Create Page”.
In the next step, you can complete the photos, among other things. Choose your profile picture and cover photo. You can also add additional galleries (e.g. with your products).
You can then add other details – e.g., location of the headquarters, opening hours, menu, etc. From now on, your page is active and can be “liked” by any Facebook user.
Once you’ve created your business Page, you can post, discuss, host events and connect with others on Messenger on your business Page. When you log in to Facebook, you can choose whether you want to use it as an individual or as a company (“Use Facebook as:”).
Facebook support for business – how to use its potential?
Setting up a company page on Facebook is not everything, of course. Now you have to work for her success! However, novice users tend to be lost and do not know how to run their business on this portal. Therefore, below you will find some ideas on how to use the potential of this tool.
Focus on visual stimulation. Make sure you have good profile and cover photos. You can also add photos of your products. Each post should be accompanied by appropriately selected graphics. It is also very important that the visual elements are of high quality and, as far as possible, consistent.
Interact. Facebook is primarily a communication portal. Therefore, do not skip any comment or messages addressed to you. Try to respond quickly and professionally and engage in exchanges with your audience.
Use ads. Facebook Ads is a great way to “get your profile going”, but also to maintain its popularity at later stages of your business. Advertising content can also help you achieve other business goals. When starting out, it’s best to invest in content that helps increase brand awareness and profile likes.
Add a call-to-action button. Use a Call to Action, such as “contact us”, “book now”, “buy now” visible on the main profile page in the top panel. This allows you to quickly redirect the user to the URL of your choice. Facebook allows you to monitor the number of people using the call-to-action button.
Schedule publications. On Facebook, there are both “good” and “bad” times to post content. Check the optimal times and set the publication of posts to coincide with them. This will help your message reach a wider audience.
Create engaging content. Posts reacting to current events (e.g. holidays) are very popular. Also, make sure that each post ends with a question about your opinion or, for example, a request to present your advice or idea.
Use video content and live broadcasts. This type of content is currently very well received. You can publish, for example, videos “from the life of the company”, order packaging or production. The possibilities are endless. Live streaming is a great way to have a dialogue with your followers or make direct sales.
Use the data Facebook collects. With a company profile, you can find a lot of valuable information there, such as visits to the website or engagement. Analyze them to better plan your content and create more interesting content. Add Facebook buttons to your website. This will make it easy to redirect traffic to your profile.
