TikTok for Business – Part 2

It took 8 years (from the creation of each platform) to reach a billion active users on Facebook or Instagram. In September 2021, TikTok reached the indicated level. This took place after 5 years of the application’s existence, which confirms the dynamics of development and interest of users.

Provides a dynamic message

It is not only music that provides dynamics of the message. The recordings can be freely modified, stopped, divided into parts. A “cut” video, combining multiple scenes, provides more excitement. TikTok is a free tool for editing recordings. No additional programs or applications are needed. Posts play automatically with the sound muted. It is worth taking this into account when planning the recording. A short, interesting and non-standard form will be the key to success.

Extensive recording capabilities without additional tools

The ability to edit a video is a big advantage over YouTube. Let’s not see it as an alternative with only basic functions. TikTok provides much more possibilities. You can use subtitles, cuts, transitions or free re-overdubbing of fragments of the material. It’s easy editing work. Providing many functionalities is a great advantage and has certainly contributed to the increase in the popularity of the app. 

Static content is replaced with a dynamic image

A static image is replaced with moving thumbnails. We can, m.in example, add inscriptions or change the color scheme. The recording attracts with its colors, and the form of gif is becoming more and more widely used. The necessary ability to dance is a myth. Everyone will find a place for themselves on TikTok. 

We still have less competition

There is a high probability that there is still no competition on TikTok. Not all brands are active on this platform. Fewer companies than on other social networks allow you to reach the recipient faster, who does not yet have such a wide range of products or services in this app in a given industry. 

Allows easy image correction

To gain popularity, consistent and systematic activity is necessary. TikTok allows you to record videos in all conditions. We can easily cut out the background or change it to any other (the so-called green screen). You can now use a screenshot or your favorite background color without having to spend additional funds on physical recording accessories. 

Ability to communicate with your audience using annotated recordings

Another feature is the ability to record responses to comments or questions asked. It is likely that it will reach a larger audience in this form. The functionality allows you to establish and strengthen relationships with the customer, improve the image and strengthen the brand.

In addition to the new forms, there are also comments in the traditional (written) form, liking or sharing entries, just like in other social media.

Greater opportunities to reach potential recipients

Although TikTok was initially associated with an app for young people, this principle no longer works. Everyone will find a place for themselves there. It’s a platform for everyone. The presence of younger generations makes it possible to reach them at the stage of familiarizing themselves with the offers on the market. It is taking care of the future position of the company. If your audience isn’t on TikTok yet, invest in your position and attract them with your posts. The earlier you start, the sooner you will achieve success.

Users are more receptive to ads

TikTok provides a combination of conveying content and advertising the brand at the same time. This can be compared to native ad. The form of the recording ensures greater interaction with users and increased their engagement. Thus, the promotion of products and services is more effective. Often, the informal tone of the recordings encourages the audience to buy, creates a sense of being “closer to the brand”, creating bonds, relationships or creating positive associations with the company. This is consistent with the idea of TikTok, which is an entertaining form of the app. Subsequent purchases improve your mood and help you relax. TikTok users are more likely to test new products, and a positive atmosphere reduces price sensitivity.

The TikTok app ensures continuous development

TikTok effectively “listens” to user feedback, promotes specific trends and popular features. Adapting to your audience ensures that you create similar content and deliver your preferred content. If new updates do not meet with good feedback, they are quickly changed. This is a good idea that has contributed to significantly overtaking the competition. Social media platforms often change slowly, not very dynamically and not always in line with user preferences. Other apps are inspired by TikTok. This is another confirmation of its success. Instagram introduced the Reels feature, and Youtube introduced the Youtube Shorts option. These options are based on the idea of short recordings, just like in the case of TikTok.
